The major task of State Department of Ecology and National Resources of Poltava is to assure the implementation of regional environmental policy (protect natural environment (land, surface- and groundwater; air; flora and fauna); guarantee the production of safe food; secure state control over the compliance of enterprises to the set norms of environmental law; organise waste control systems, inform the population through mass media about emergency situations.
